Staff Recruitment

Our clients who are recruiting staff pay an introductory fee which includes:

Initial meeting with chambers to take instructions for assignment

Agreeing job description and staff selection criteria with client

Producing advertisment for distribution via Institute of Barristers' Clerks

Arranging external advertising on behalf of client if required

Advertising job vacancy on Chambers People website

Processing, acknowledging and filtering all applications from candidates

Conducting initial interviews (at Chambers People office or at chambers or elsewhere)

Assessment and selection of short-list of suitable candidates

Reference and "due dilligence" background checks of candidates

Presentation of information to chambers prior to final interviews

Arranging final interviews of candidates with chambers

Above £30,000 - fee is by negotiation

 

Plus any expenses and external advertising costs e.g. The Times or Evening Standard/Metro

Note: salary figure is based on advertised salary, and does not include any bonus arrangement that may be paid.

Consultancy Fees: for Chambers Management advice, Qualitymark accreditation procedures, Business Development work, Marketing, Staff Training, Fees Management work, General Advice including Bar Council compliance issues - Fees on Application. Full terms and conditions are available on request

Advertising on our website
We make no charge to chambers for advertising a vacancy, if we are successful in placing someone we have introduced. However, we normally make a nominal charge of £100 plus VAT for advertising a vacancy on behalf of a chambers who do not find someone using our services, except when an inclusive, retainer fee has been agreed. Further details on request. We have a database of over 1200 candidates that regularly check our Job Vacancies page. The IBC by comparison has about 600 members.
